Biography

Dr. Fayq Al Akayleh is currently associate professor of Economics at Al Yamamah University (YU). Dr. Al Akayleh was the former Director of Postgraduate Studies and the former Head of Quantitative Business Department (Finance, Insurance, and Accounting) at Al Yamamah University. He also served as a member of different university councils such as University Council, Postgraduate Studies and Research Council, and College of Business Administration Council at (YU). Dr. Fayq is a founding member of the College of Business Administration and the founder of the Quantitative Business Department at YU. In teaching field,

Dr. Fayq was the winner of Distinguished Faculty Award 2017/2018 at YU by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Al Saud.

During the period 01/01/2018 – 30/04/2019, Dr. Fayq was the Faculty Chair for AACSB International. He also worked at Alfaisal University as an adjunct professor of International Economics. Dr. Fayq is a guest speaker to Saudi TV Channel 2 (KSA TV 2). Before joining Al Yamamah University in 2008, he taught at the University of Jordan. Dr. Fayq Al Akayleh served as a financial and administrative auditor in the Jordan Audit Bureau for 16 years. He also worked in the Jordan Ministry of Education as a mathematics teacher.

In research area, Dr. Fayq Al Akayleh has published several articles in internationally indexed journals. He participated in many national and international conferences and workshops. He also is the Scientific Committee Chair of the International Conference of Business and Economic Studies.

In the field of professional membership, Dr. Fayq is a member in the following international business and research committees: Royal Economic Society (RES), American Economic Association (AEA), World Economics Association (WEA), International Development Economics Associates (IDEAS), Global Development Network-MENA Region-Featured member as in Oct 03 2012, Scientific Committee/International Conference on Business and Economic Studies (ICBES) | Co-Chair, -      Advisory Committee, ASIA PACIFIC INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED RESEARCH (APIAR) - Nurturing knowledge without boundaries, Amity Journal of Economics, Editorial Review Board, -      Journal of World Economic Research, Editorial Board, and International Conference on Humanities and Educational Research (ICHER), Scientific Advisory Board.

Dr. Fayq Al Akayleh received several Acknowledgment Letters from YU President for his contributions to YU management, research, and teaching.
